The Industrial Engineering Department proudly hosted the 10th annual IE Day, a remarkable event filled with inspiration, knowledge-sharing, and meaningful connections.
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Farouk Abdel-Gawad, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kamal Abdel-Fattah, Head of the Industrial Engineering Department, with preparation by Dr. Mansour El-Sayed Abougamila, and Eng. Hend El-Naghy. General Coordinators of the Conference,
The conference was attended by faculty members, teaching assistants, students, industry experts, and distinguished alumni who hold leading positions in various companies, alongside inspiring success stories. The conference was hosted by Nada Saeed and Moustafa Ismail, fourth-year Industrial Engineering students.
At the beginning, Eng. Hend Elnaghy spoke about the role of the IE Day in motivating students and creating opportunities to build deep connections between the department's students and alumni. She emphasized that IE Day is an excellent opportunity to learn about the changing dynamics of the job market.
She then handed over the stage to Prof. Dr. Kamal Abdel-Fattah, Head of the Industrial Engineering Department, who delivered an inspiring opening speech. He welcomed everyone and extended his heartfelt gratitude to all the department's staff and conference’s guests. He highlighted the importance of such events in fostering a sense of belonging between the department’s graduates and their alma mater.
Key highlights of the conference included:
**A lecture by Dr. Moataz Yousif, Director of Technology and Transformation at Delegata Consulting in California, USA, who delivered a talk on technology consulting and shared 7 key pieces of advice for students to consider carefully as they plan for a successful career ahead.
**Eng. Ibrahim Mostafa, Operations Training Manager at RATP Dev Mobility, discussed the vital role of industrial engineers in the service and railway sectors, highlighting the vast career opportunities available in these fields.
**Ahmed Aref, a fourth-year student, shared valuable insights and practical advice with his peers on making the most of their undergraduate experience.
**Dr. Mansour Abougamila, the conference coordinator, emphasized the department’s activities and achievements during the past year. He highlighted the department’s focus on practical projects in various courses, graduation projects, and field training. He also noted the strong relationship between the department and its alumni, which has led to exceptional training opportunities. Dr. Mansour pointed out that this year's conference was particularly special as it coincided with the department receiving program accreditation from the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority under the Ministry of Higher Education. He extended his sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to this achievement.
The conference featured enriching discussions that updated students and alumni on the latest developments in technology, industry, and service sectors, bridging the gap between academic study and the job market.

**Also, Omar Mohammed Gomaa, a preparatory-year student, who was recognized as the winner of the IE Department's Open Poster Design Competition, with a special gift from 2B Company.
