mission

To prepare distinguished engineers who are able to innovate and meet the requirements of local and international labor markets in the fields of mechanical power engineering through paying attention to the quality of educational process, continuous training, and cooperation with governmental institutions.

goals

1- To prepare a trained graduate capable of making decisions, dealing with crises, solving problems, and competing in the labor market.

2- To provide expertise and engineering consultancy in all fields of mechanical power engineering to contribute to the development of society, environment, and industry.

3- To urge students to actively participate in local and international competitions and conferences.

4- To improve academic courses and postgraduate programs in accordance with international standards to suit the needs of the labor market.

5- To activate the continuous evaluation and quality management system to achieve the goals of the program, the college, and the university.

فتح باب التقدم لشغل وظيفة المدير الأكاديمي للبرنامج ومنسق البرنامج

يعلن برنامج هندسة القوي الميكانيكية عن فتح باب التقدم لشغل وظيفة المدير الأكاديمي للبرنامج ومنسق البرنامج من بين أعضاء هيئة التدريس بقسم هندسة القوي الميكانيكية و ذلك وفق المعاييرالمعتمدة من مجلس الكلية في جلسته رقم (435) بتاريخ الأحد 19/9/2021. أخر موعد لتلقي الطلبات هو 13/10/2021. تقدم الطلبات بمكتب رئيس قسم هندسة القوي الميكانيكية من ال 9 ص حتي 3 م.

المعايير التي يتبناها برنامج هندسة القوي الميكانيكيه

Graduate of mechanical power engineering program must be able to:

1. Recognize, distinguish, design, and analyze the performance of the main types of internal combustion engines, heat exchangers, and power plants.
2. Demonstrate additional abilities and integrate computer-aided tools in solving aerodynamic problems and designing turbo-machinery and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
3. Identify, estimate, design, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems.
4. Understand the basics concepts of renewable energy and water desalination and recognize the current advances in the field of sustainable energy and energy conservation.

Graduate attributes

According to NARS 2018, the Engineering graduate, in general, must:

1. Master a wide spectrum of engineering knowledge and specialized skills and can apply acquired knowledge using theories and abstract thinking in real life situations.
2. Apply analytic critical and systemic thinking to identify, diagnose and solve engineering problems with a wide range of complexity and variation.
3. Behave professionally and adhere to engineering ethics and standards.
4. Work in and lead a heterogeneous team of professionals from different engineering specialties and assume responsibility for own and team performance.
5. Recognize his/her role in promoting the engineering field and contribute in the development of the profession and the community.
6. Value the importance of the environment, both physical and natural, and work to promote sustainability principles.
7. Use techniques, skills and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.
8. Assume full responsibility for own learning and self-development, engage in lifelong learning and demonstrate the capacity to engage in post- graduate and research studies.
9. Communicate effectively using different modes, tools and languages with various audiences; to deal with academic/professional challenges in a critical and creative manner.
10. Demonstrate leadership qualities, business administration and entrepreneurial skills.

In addition to the general attributes of engineering graduates, the mechanical power  engineering graduates must be able to:

1. Demonstrate additional abilities to select and integrate different power systems.
2. Demonstrate additional abilities to manage and enhance efficiency of energy conversion.
3. Master the contemporary softwares and tools in the field of mechanical power engineering.
4. Use the codes of practice of all mechanical power engineering disciplines effectively and professionally.
5. Engage in life-long training process on modern fields of mechanical power engineering.
6. Demonstrate more attention to the practical sides of engineering.
7. Design and maintain internal combustion engine, turbomachinery, HVAC systems, and heat exchangers.
8. Demonstrate more attention to understand mechanical sensors and control systems.

الخطه التنفيذية لتطوير وتعزيز برنامج هندسة القوي الميكانيكية

• مقدمة:

          استجابة للتغيرات في البيئة الداخلية و الخارجية للبرنامج وكذلك نتائج مراجعة ابعاد الفاعلية التعليمية للبرنامج فإنه من الضروري وجود خطة معتمدة و معلنه لتطوير و تعزيز البرنامج يشترك فيها كافه الاطراف ذات العلاقة. كما ان هذة الخطة تحتوي علي اجراءات واضحة لادارة و تعزيز الجودة في البرنامج وتقييم مردود الممارسات الفعلية للتطوير و التعزيز الخاصة بالبرنامج ولتحقيق الاثر المطلوب من عملية التطوير والتعزيز بالبرنامج فكان لابد من توافر سياسات تتعلق بالتحفيز الايجابي و السلبي و جدية المسائلة و المحاسبة التي تعتمد علي تفعيل تظم المسائله و المحاسبة الحالية للبرنامج

• تم اعداد الخطه بناء علي الدراسه الذاتيه لبرنامج هندسه القوي الميكانيكية عن العام الجامعي 2021-2022 مصدرها المعلومات والبيانات المقدمه في مقترحات التطوير و التحسين لمعايير الجوده المختلفه في برنامج هندسه القوي الميكانيكية وذلك للتغلب علي النقاط التي تحتاج الي تحسين التي ظهرت في الدراسه الذاتيه الخاصه بالبرنامج.
• ويراعي تحديث الخطه سنويا في شهر سبتمبر من كل عام ودراسه ما تم انجازه وما لم يتم واسباب عدم انجازه والمستجدات المتعلقه بالبرنامج.
• تم اعداد بنود التطوير متوافقه و مكمله لمقترحات التحسين و التطوير في معايير الجوده و المذكوره في الدراسه الذاتيه عن العام الدراسي 2021-2022.
